At La Concordia, we don’t limit wellness to conventional therapy alone. We also embrace an alternative healing approach — holistic methods, most often rooted in cultural traditions, that support the whole person.

What alternative healing means

Alternative healing refers to holistic methods of care used as spiritual interventions to encourage a healing of the body. You may have heard of practices like reiki, curanderismo, chakras, herbal medicine, crystal healing, acupuncture, reflexology, and aromatherapy. These traditions have been practiced for generations — long before modern medicine — and are understood to nurture connection among mind, body, and spirit. They are not a replacement for medical or clinical care, but a complement to it: a way to help the body, and the spirit within it, return to balance.

Why we include it

Our communities carry deep, living traditions of healing, and honoring them is part of honoring the people we serve. Culturally rooted practices can ease stress, restore a sense of balance, and open space for reflection and renewal — working alongside clinical care as part of overall wellness.

Individual holistic sessions we offer

Each session is designed to harmonize body, mind, and spirit:

These are traditional and complementary wellness practices, not medical treatments, and are not a substitute for professional care. To learn more about holistic healing at La Concordia, call our reception team.
